Germany is Europe's leading market for commercial cleaning technology, and building cleaning is also one of the main employers in Germany's labor market. With this huge market, Berlin, as Germany's capital and a super international metropolis, is the ideal choice for showcasing professional knowledge and skills, as well as new products and services, to cleaning industry experts and practitioners. In addition, Berlin is also a gateway to global high-volume demand markets, involving not only European and international markets but also the growing Central and Eastern European markets.

The Purus Award PIA was established to recognize the most outstanding product design in the cleaning industry. The award is divided into 6 major categories: large machinery, small machines, equipment, digital tools and systems, washroom hygiene, and cleaning agents.
The two-day CMS World Summit was held concurrently with CMS and attracted more than 200 industry executives. This edition of the summit took "Injecting Innovative Elements" as its theme and invited professionals from different industries, including leading cleaning manufacturers, major European cleaning associations, cleaning industry researchers, market analysts, and independent news commentators, to hold keynote speeches, thematic seminars, and panel discussions. A hot topic at this edition of the summit was that persuading cleaning staff to accept technological innovation poses huge challenges; the industry standardization framework and data protection still need improvement.
